
In many communities across Africa, women and youth people continue to face challenges such as poverty, gender-based violence, unemployment, limited access to education and displacement. The African Women and Youth Action for Development is committed to addressing these challenges by empowering vulnerable population and promoting sustainable development. AWYAD works tiredly to improve the life of women, youth, refugees and marginalized communities through humanitarian assistance, advocacy, capacity building and livelihood support. The organization believes that when women and youth are impowered, entire communities thrive.
Through community sensitization programs, AWYAD promote gender equality, child protection, capacity building, and entrepreneurship programs that equip youth people with the tools they need to build independent and productive lives.
